Hewlett Packard Enterprise Strengthens Cyber Resiliency and Data Availability for HPE Alletra Storage MP Customers

Expanded HPE StoreOnce portfolio safeguards critical data with new entry-level offerings for small-and-medium-sized businesses

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) today announced new guarantees for HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 to strengthen cyber resilience, optimize energy efficiency and eliminate data loss. New entry-level HPE StoreOnce backup and recovery appliances will simplify data protection.

“Modern enterprises demand storage that is intelligent by design and agile by architecture. With new guarantees built on our industry-leading AIOps and disaggregated storage, we’re delivering a future-ready solution that allow customers to evolve their hybrid cloud data strategy based on business demands,” said Jim O’Dorisio, senior vice president and GM for Storage at HPE.

HPE introduced the following new service-level agreements (SLAs) and guarantees designed to protect and future-proof customers’ IT infrastructure:

  • Zero Data Loss and Downtime Guarantee eliminates recovery time with high-availability, synchronous replication known as active peer persistence.
  • Cyber Resiliency Guarantee ensures access to recoverable immutable snapshots and urgent access to outage recovery experts within 30 minutes or less of a reported ransomware incident.
  • Energy Consumption Guarantee ensures storage operates to an optimal power level for peak performance and that energy consumption stays below a set threshold.

These new guarantees join the existing ones available to B10000 customers as part of the HPE Storage Future-Ready Program, including 100 percent data availability, StoreMore data efficiency for at least 4:1 cost savings, and a free, non-disruptive controller refresh for 30 percent lower TCO1 .

New HPE StoreOnce backup appliance simplifies data protection for ROBOs and SMBs

To address the data protection challenges faced by remote office/branch offices (ROBOs) and small-and-medium-sized-businesses (SMBs), HPE also expanded its StoreOnce backup and recovery appliance portfolio. New entry-level HPE StoreOnce 3720 and 3760 models – ideal for edge deployments, will:

  • Scale seamlessly from 18 terabytes (TB) to 216TB of local usable capacity (and up to 648TB usable capacity with optional cloud storage).
  • Deliver 20:1 typical data reduction and backup speeds of up to 25TB per hour.
  • Protect data from cyber threats with multi-factor authentication, encryption and immutability.

The latest additions to HPE’s comprehensive data protection portfolio are estimated to be 67 percent denser for constrained spaces, use 29 percent less power, and are optimized with leading backup software.

Availability

  • The new guarantees for IT outcomes are available starting today as part of the HPE Storage Future-Ready Program.
  • HPE StoreOnce 3720 and 3760 will be available early in the third quarter of 2025.
